State legislative accomplishments

 

Whether you’ve practiced in Arizona for two years or twenty, you might be shocked at how much the Arizona Legislature impacts your day-to-day dentistry—and how much AzDA fights for you at the Capitol.

Most dentists say the same thing when they find out what’s going on: “I had no idea all this was happening behind the scenes!”

Here’s the reality: even if you knew about the constant lobbying and legislative wrangling, you wouldn’t have the time or resources to take it on yourself. And frankly, you shouldn’t. Your job is to care for patients.

That’s where we step in.
AzDA’s Council on Government Affairs and Advocacy Team spends over 250 hours every year defending your profession from government overreach, insurance company abuse, and outside groups pushing their own agendas—not what’s best for you or your patients.

These opponents have money, power, and seasoned lobbyists on the ground at the Capitol every day. The only way to keep them from undermining your profession is to back AzDA through your membership.

ADA Advocacy

National (American Dental Association, ADA) legislative advocacy and accomplishments

AzDA has one of the strongest state-level advocacy efforts in the entire country, and you can bet we're proud of that. However, supporting AzDA through consistent membership also provides legislative muscle and victories for dentistry on a national level through the ADA's lobbying efforts.
