John R. Carson, DDS Elected President of Southern Arizona Dental Society
Scottsdale AZ, May 1, 2009: The Southern Arizona Dental Society (SADS), a component of the Arizona Dental Association (AzDA), is pleased to announce the election of Dr. John Carson as President for 2009. Dr. Carson is the son of a Periodontist who is the son of a Prosthodontist and says he "grew up with dentistry as my calling." He earned his dental degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry and maintains a private practice in General Dentistry in Tucson. An AzDA member since 2001, Dr. Carson's service to organized dentistry includes Delegate to the AzDA House of Delegates, SADS Secretary, and SADS Membership Committee. When asked what he believes dentistry's greatest opportunity is today, Dr. Carson says: "Our greatest strength is that, for the most part, we have kept the choices for care between Dentists and their patients. Our greatest opportunity, therefore, is to choose the path that protects our profession and keeps those choices I just mentioned between Dentists and their patients." As President of SADS, Dr. Carson will preside over all business conducted by the society's Board of Directors, appoint special committees, designate chairs, serve as a Delegate-at-Large to the AzDA House of Delegates and write columns for the association's publication. Available for interviews, Dr. Carson can be reached at (520) 514-7203. To request a photo of Dr. Carson, email us here |
