Fred B. Olsen, III, DDS Elected President of Central Arizona Dental Society


Scottsdale AZ, May 1, 2009: The Central Arizona Dental Society (CADS), a component of the Arizona Dental Association (AzDA), is pleased to announce the election of Dr. Fred Olsen as President for 2009.

Dr. Olsen maintains a private practice in General Dentistry in Phoenix. He earned his dental degree from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry.

An AzDA member since 1984, Dr. Olsen's service to organized dentistry includes CADS Nominations & Elections, Ethics, and Peer Review Committees; AzDA Council on Government Affairs; Delegate to the AzDA House of Delegates, and Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners (BODEX).

When asked what he believes dentistry's greatest opportunity is today, Dr. Olsen says: "For one, our opportunity for heightening public awareness about the connection between oral health and overall health is huge. And, we will always have opportunities to educate and be educated by other health care professionals."

As President of CADS, Dr. Olsen will preside over all business conducted by the society's Board of Directors, appoint special committees, designate chairs, serve as a Delegate-at-Large to the AzDA House of Delegates, and write columns for the association's publication.
