OSHA Workshop
11/5/2010
 4 CEUs

Event Description:
THE OSHA MANUAL WORKSHOP HAS "GONE GREEN!" Since the onset offering of this biannual workshop in 2004, emphasis has been on providing a working manual for your facility and proof to OSHA that one is available for employee use. We have accomplished that and now want to take it to the next level. A large majority of offices are paperless or nearing that objective. This workshop will take you through all the steps to personalize your OSHA plans for your facility and have it all at your fingertips via your computer. Or, if you so choose, you may print out documents for a hard-copy manual. A turnkey Infection Prevention and OSHA Tool kit CD is provided for each office attending the seminar. This workshop is a "must" for dental professionals and for trainers responsible for OSHA compliance and infection prevention in your practice. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to customize their own OSHA plans to reflect new OSHA laws and will have the tools to train at-risk office staff in OSHA compliance and infection control and prevention procedures. Course content includes OSHA law, elements of an employee health program, blood-borne pathogens, how to handle an exposure incident, BODEX requirements and the current CDC dental guidelines. Proceeds of the OSHA Manual Workshop will go to the Arizona Dental Foundation. LEARNING OBJECTIVES: by the end of this workshop, you will be able to (1) prepare your own custom OSHA Plans with a minimum of effort; (2) train new staff at time of hire with ease; and (3) handle a blood-borne exposure timely, efficiently, and correctly.
